February lived up to its reputation as a slow birding month for me.
February brought with it more cold weather and busy weekends which made it difficult for me to gain much ground on my bird list for the year. I did have a nice couple of hours at Riverlands which helped make the numbers less embarrassing. I’m ready for Spring and the early shorebirds and other migrants.
- Horned Lark

- Hooded Merganser – Hanging with Gadwall and Mallards in the Meramec River.
- Gadwall

Brings my total to 74 species for the year. Hoping to add at least 20 new birds in March, so check back next month and see how we did. Thanks for reading.
