Another slow month for me on the birding front as I didn’t reach my easy target of 20 new birds for the month. I missed on some that should have been slam dunks (Wilson’s Snipe, Teal species, Great Egret, Woodcock, etc.), but I struggled to put in the time and the weather made it tough….
February brought with it more cold weather and busy weekends which made it difficult for me to gain much ground on my bird list for the year. I did have a nice couple of hours at Riverlands which helped make the numbers less embarrassing. I’m ready for Spring and the early shorebirds and other migrants….
